Donald Trump’s surprising reaction after being asked if he misses Elon Musk

President Donald Trump has weighed in on a survey which found Elon Musk to be the most unpopular person in the US right now.
It has been a wild year for the Tesla CEO – but we’ll dive into that a little later on.
First, let’s talk about the Republican’s surprising reaction to having been asked if he misses his former ‘first buddy’ – who stepped away from the Trump administration pedaling rumors that the POTUS was involved in the Epstein files, while calling for him to be impeached.
However, with his tail between his legs, the 54-year-old conceded to rueing some of these comments.
“I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,” he posted on the platform today (June 11).
Now, while announcing plans on Wednesday (August 6), that Apple has pledged to invest $100 billion in the US, the 79-year-old was asked to comment on a recent Gallup poll that finds Musk is the most unpopular public figure in America right now.
It recorded that 61 percent of participants found him the Space X CEO ‘unfavorable’, while just 33 percent said he was ‘favorable’ – a difference of minus 28 percent, which was the lowest amount of any person on the list.
To put it into perspective, the second-lowest was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at minus 23 percent, while Trump himself was minus 16 percent.
“I don’t know [if] the poll’s accurate,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “I think he’s a good person – I think he had a bad moment, really bad moment. But he’s a good person – I believe that.”

Elon Musk and President Donald Trump went their separate ways at the end of May
So, let’s quickly divulge Musk’s year.
In January, he was accused of doing a ‘Nazi salute’ at Trump’s victory rally during the 79-year-old’s inauguration – something that the billionaire has denied.
Just days later, Musk went against his leader by claiming the president’s $500 billion AI project that he plans on starting up doesn’t ‘actually have the money’.
He was working as a special government employee – employed as the leader of the newly founded Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) – until standing down two days prior to his scheduled departure.
That was due to Musk criticizing Trump’s one. ‘big beautiful bill’, which includes a number of temporary tax cuts until 2028, and a freeze on taxes for those working overtime, calling it a ‘disgusting abomination’.
