Charles Oliveira and Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor returning to the UFC is a thing of fantasy at the moment. Missing in action for almost four years now, the Irish superstar’s long awaited comeback seems to be in jeopardy. The last time McGregor was seen in a UFC ring was in 2021. Fighting in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier, ‘The Notorious’ broke his ankle. After his recovery, McGregor has teased his return several times. But as per Charles Oliveira, the hyped return might not happen at all.

Appearing in a recent interview, Oliveira mentioned that there was no way that McGregor will be fighting again. He has been a superstar in his prime and has done everything possible to gain popularity in the sport. Now, it was time for him to relax and live life on his own terms.

“We’ve been waiting for him to come back and Michael Chandler has been waiting for about two years and he hasn’t shown up. I think fans should forget about Conor McGregor coming back, he’s not going to fight again,” Oliveira stated.

Surely, Oliveira’s words do hold significant weightage. Meanwhile, visiting President Donald Trump, McGregor once again got himself into a controversy.

Conor McGregor recently had a meet up with the US President, Donald Trump. The Irishman wanted to address the problems that the people of his country faced. Appearing before the media, ‘The Notorious’ criticized the Irish government, which sparked a widespread debate back in Ireland.

“Our government abandoned the voices of the people of Ireland. Our money is being spent overseas on issues that have nothing to do with the Irish people. It’s time the people in America are made aware of what’s going on Ireland, what is going on Ireland is a travesty. Our government is a government with zero action and zero accountability,” McGregor said.

Surely, things are once again looking spiced up in McGregor’s life. Now, it remains to be seen whether he comes back to UFC or not.
