What Is Colossus?

Colossus is Tesla’s in-house supercomputer built to train its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. It processes massive amounts of real-world driving data collected from millions of Tesla vehicles. The new update boosts its processing power dramatically, allowing it to handle exabytes of data and run millions of driving simulations daily.

More Than Just for Cars

Musk hinted that Colossus will not be limited to self-driving cars. It will also play a key role in Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus, future AI-driven logistics, and possibly even Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

“Colossus is more than a supercomputer — it’s the brain of Tesla’s AI future,” Musk said.
