Super middleweight contender Edgar Berlanga has officially had enough — and he’s naming names. In a fiery outburst following Hamzah Sheeraz’s recent performance, Berlanga slammed the undefeated Brit, questioning both the level of competition and the hype surrounding him.

“HE HASN’T FOUGHT ANYBODY!”
Speaking on an Instagram Live stream, Berlanga didn’t hold back when asked about Sheeraz:
“Man, everyone’s hyping this dude like he’s the next big thing. Let’s be real — he hasn’t fought anybody. You put him in there with a real one like me, and it’s lights out.”
Berlanga took direct aim at Sheeraz’s most recent win, calling it “a glorified sparring session” and claiming the media was blowing it out of proportion.
“Yeah, he looked good — but against who? Put him in with someone who hits back. I’m sick of these protected records.”
CALLING HIM OUT – “LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN”
Not only did Berlanga criticize Sheeraz, he also called him out for a fight — and said he’d be happy to come to the UK to settle the score:
“Tell him to stop hiding behind promoters. I’ll fly out to London tomorrow. Let’s see if he’s really about that life.”
Berlanga insisted that Sheeraz has never faced a puncher like him, and that once he lands clean, “it’s game over.”
BUILD-UP TO A GRUDGE MATCH?
Both Berlanga and Sheeraz are undefeated and climbing the super middleweight ladder — but up until now, their paths hadn’t crossed. With this rant, Berlanga may have just set the stage for a major international clash.

Boxing fans were quick to react online, with some backing Berlanga’s callout, while others said he was just chasing clout.
“Talk is cheap,” one fan wrote. “Let’s see Berlanga back it up against someone like Sheeraz instead of calling him out from the couch.”
