The Indiana Fever has been dealt a tough blow — Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 overall pick and breakout star of the 2025 WNBA season, has officially been ruled out for at least two weeks following a left quadriceps strain sustained during a recent game against the New York Liberty.
The Injury That Changed Everything
The injury occurred during a tense matchup on May 25, when Clark appeared to tweak her left leg in the second half after a hard drive to the basket and a physical defensive play involving Natasha Cloud. Although she tried to power through the pain, medical staff quickly assessed the situation and pulled her from the game.
A day later, the Fever confirmed the diagnosis: left quad strain. She will be sidelined for a minimum of 14 days, pending re-evaluation.
