Listeria is usually transmitted when food is ‘harvested, processed, prepared, packed, transported, or stored in manufacturing or production environments contaminated with L. monocytogenes,’ according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Salmonella is a bacteria that is most commonly found in food products, causing severe sickness,  including diarrhea, fever, and headaches, among other symptoms.

Other products were flagged for having undeclared allergens in them.

The major food allergens in the US are milk, fish, eggs, wheat, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame and Crustacean shellfish.
