Amid UFC Return Rumors Conor McGregor Announces His Candidacy For President Of Ireland
Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor might not be returning to the UFC. But he is definitely not out of the news. After a long layoff from fighting, there have been several news of him coming back. The closest McGregor came to make his return was at UFC 303. While his bout with Michael Chandler was announced, the match did not materialize. Just days before the fight, McGregor pulled out of the bout citing a toe injury. Since then, there has been speculation about ‘The Notorious’ not fighting anymore. In a recent update, those rumors only got more fuel. McGregor announced his candidature for the President of Ireland!
Well, this move, although surprising, did not come out of the blue. McGregor had been hinting at a possible stint as a politician. Confirming the same, ‘The Notorious’ is now officially in the run to become the President. He also had a message for his people.
“Ireland, the choice is yours and it is an easy one. Vote for me as your President and we will SAVE IRELAND TOGETHER!” said McGregor.
Surely, the Presidential election in Ireland has taken a new turn following the announcement. Meanwhile, McGregor recently visited Donald Trump where he had some negative things to say about the Irish President.
Conor McGregor Criticizes President Of Ireland

McGregor recently visited US President Donald Trump at the Oval Office. One of his major reasons for making the visit was to inform America about the issues faced by the people of Ireland. Appearing before the media, McGregor encouraged America to take care of his country and its people.
McGregor stated, “Our government abandoned the voices of the people of Ireland. Our money is being spent overseas on issues that have nothing to do with the Irish people. It’s time the people in America are made aware of what’s going on Ireland, what is going on Ireland is a travesty. Our government is a government with zero action and zero accountability.”
"OUR GOVERNMENT HAS ABANDONED THE VOICES OF THE PEOPLE."
