VIDEO: UFC Star Alex Pereira Reunites With Fan Who Overcame Cancer

Alex Pereira
Fans are familiar with Alex Pereira’s stone-faced demeanor, intense stare, and dominance inside the octagon. However, in July 2024, Pereira revealed his softer side by sharing a video on his YouTube channel, capturing his visit to The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, where he offered support and encouragement to a child battling cancer.
Pereira went viral for showing a rare emotional side as he shaved the head of a child battling cancer. This week, he reunited with the child, who has since beaten the disease. In a video shared on X, Pereira reflected on their first meeting, recalling how emotional it was for him to shave the child’s head during his visit to the Institute of Cancer in Australia. Overwhelmed with emotion, he even broke down in tears. In the video, Pereira said:
“About a year ago or so, I came to Australia. I cut his hair at the Institute of Cancer here in Australia. It was something very emotional, very heavy for me, I cried, I got emotional. To see this guy’s recovery. He was training in Muay Thai. He had to stop because of the cancer and now he’s fought against cancer, he beat cancer. A big inspiration. This is what you call fighting.”
Now, seeing the child’s recovery and return to Muay Thai training, Pereira praised the young fighter’s resilience, calling the victory over cancer a true inspiration.
Alex Pereira Shuts Down Jiri Prochazka’s Voodoo And Dark Energy Claims

Jiri Prochazka’s recent knockout of Jamahal Hill earned him a title shot against the winner of Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev. However, Prochazka stirred controversy by accusing Pereira of using voodoo and dark magic. He repeated these claims on The Joe Rogan Experience, referencing their UFC 295 fight. In response, ahead of his UFC 313 title defense, Pereira said:
“All respect to him, but I’m a god-fearing man. I have god in my heart. If we go and fight again… if he will put all of this to the side and just focus on fighting each other, I think we’ll give a much better fight to the crowd.”
Pereira has consistently denied any involvement with black magic. Now, he’s set to headline UFC 311, promising fans another thrilling showdown inside the octagon.
