UFC 316 Main Event In Doubt After Merab Dvalishvili Suffers Serious Toe Injury Days Before Sean O’Malley Rematch

UFC 316: Merab Dvalishvili vs. Sean O’Malley
Fans might be getting used to Merab Dvalishvili dealing with injuries before his fights, as he has once again suffered a severe toe injury. This isn’t the first time he’s been hurt right before stepping into the Octagon. Ahead of his first fight with Sean O’Malley, he sustained a major cut near his eyebrow in a similar situation. Now, once again, fans are left in the dark while Dvalishvili remains calm.
‘The Machine’ is set to defend his title for the second time at UFC 316 in Newark, N.J. Despite dealing with injuries, the bantamweight champion remains unfazed. He even fought with a broken leg during his first title defense against Umar Nurmagomedov at UFC 306. Now, a new video has surfaced showing the Georgian fighter calmly recording his broken toe.
In the clip, Dvalishvili jokes with his training partner, saying, “Why you break my toe, my friend?” The partner replies: “That was you, you kicked me in the head and broke your toe. That was your fault.” Dvalishvili responds with a laugh, “I’m going to cut it off. This guy broke it.”
Meanwhile, fans are unsure about what the future holds for the UFC 316 main event. However, since Dvalishvili appears calm and unfazed, there’s hope that no major changes will be made.
