Trump informed his name appears in Epstein files ‘multiple times’ by Department of Justice, new report reveals

It has been reported that the president was informed back in May that he was named in the Epstein files.
The Trump administration’s decision to not release all files on disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has created a lot of backlash from both Republicans and Democrats in the US, sparking some to question why some documents will remain sealed.
There has been speculation that President Trump is named in the files due to his apparent relationship with Epstein.
In a 2002 interview with New York Magazine, Trump hailed ‘Jeff’ as a ‘terrific guy’ and spoke of their alleged friendship that, at the time, dated back 15 years, as per The Guardian.
In the wake of people’s curiosity about the POTUS’ ties to Epstein it has been revealed by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that Trump was allegedly told back in May that he was named in the Epstein files.

Apparently, Trump was named ‘multiple times’ in the files and he was informed of this by Attorney General Pam Bondi, says the news outlet.
“In May, Bondi and her deputy informed the president at a meeting in the White House that his name was in the Epstein files, the officials said,” the WSJ reports.
“Many other high-profile figures were also named, Trump was told. Being mentioned in the records isn’t a sign of wrongdoing.
“The officials said it was a routine briefing that covered a number of topics and that Trump’s appearance in the documents wasn’t the focus.”
As per Reuters, White House spokesman Steven Cheung said: “This is nothing more than a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media.”
The news comes after the president previously denied that he was ever informed that his name was in the files.
Speaking to reporters earlier this month, Trump was asked directly if he had been told his name was in documents in Bondi.

He replied: “No, no, she’s given us just a very quick briefing and in terms of the credibility of the different things that they’ve seen and I would say that, you know these files were made up by Comey, they were made up by Obama, they were made up by Biden – we went through years of that with the Russia hoax and all the things that we had to go through, we’ve gone through years of it.”
There have also been rumors of a ‘client list’ of Epstein’s, but the Department of Justice and FBI has dismissed that such a list exists.
A report into the matter stated: “This systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list’. There was also no evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions.
“We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”
