Taylor Swift shocks fans by announcing her Opalite music video as she shines in silver leotard

Taylor Swift shocked fans on Thursday with Opalite news.

‘The Opalite music video will be available to watch on Apple Music and Spotify, included in Premium, starting 8 am ET on February 6,’ it was written on her website.

The video will not be on YouTube until days later.

The singer was seen in a sparkling silver halter leopard with her blonde hair in a flirty ponytail.

And then there is her new vinyl. ‘Opalite, on blue Pearlescent vinyl,’ she said in a post to her Insta Stories. ‘Includes Opalite and Opalite (Life Is A Song Acoustic Version).’

It was added, ‘Available until February 6 at 7 pm EST or while supplies last.’

Opalite is a hit song from the 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl.

The Opalite music video will be released on YouTube on Sunday, February 8 at 8 A.M. ET, which is Super Bowl Sunday.

There are only two platforms on which the music video can be viewed until Sunday morning, and both require a subscription: Spotify Premium and Apple Music.

In November, she made fans think she was secretly shooting a music video in the UK but it was never confirmed.

This comes after news Swift is being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame class of 2026.

The Anti-Hero hitmaker is among this year’s group of inductees, along with Alanis Morissette, Footloose writer Kenny Loggins, and KISS legends Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.

SHOF Chairman Nile Rodgers said in a statement: ‘The music industry is built upon the incredible talent of songwriters who create unforgettable songs.

‘Without their artistry, there would be no recorded music, concert experiences, or engaged fans.

‘Everything originates from the song and its creator.’

Swift is making history this year as the youngest woman to ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

As well as the four ‘performing songwriter’ nominees, the Hall of Fame will also honor Walter Afanasieff, Christopher ‘Tricky’ Stewart, and the duo of Terry Britten and Graham Lyle.

Afanasieff is known for his work with Mariah Carey on the likes of All I Want For Christmas Is You and Hero.

Britten and Lyle penned classics including Tina Turner’s What’s Love Got To Do With It, and Stewart’s catalogue includes the likes of Rihanna hit single Umbrella and Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).

Nile Rogers continued: ‘We take great pride in our ongoing commitment to recognizing some of the most culturally significant composers in history.

‘This year’s lineup not only showcases iconic songs but also celebrates unity across various genres.

‘These songwriters have profoundly impacted the lives of billions of listeners worldwide, and it is our privilege to honor their contributions.’

To be eligible for induction, a songwriter must have a notable catalogue of songs, and their first commercial release needs to have been at least 20 years ago.

Swift’s debut single Tim McGraw dropped in June 2006, but is able to be inducted because the ceremony isn’t until June 11 at New York City’s Marriott Marquis Hotel.
