Statue or Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands mysteriously appears on DC landmark

Old mates Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein have been rendered in statue form, holding hands, in Washington DC this week.

This 12-foot eyesore – made up of wire, wood, foam and resin – depicts the US president and late sex offender smiling at each other, as they seemingly head off towards the Washington Monument.

It mysteriously appeared at the landmark yesterday morning (September 23) to mark Friendship Month, and will remain in place until this coming Saturday (September 27).

Per The Independent, a spokesperson for anonymous group The Secret Handshake – who erected the statue – claimed it is there to ‘celebrate the friendship of these real men’.

Since it went up, a White House official has hit back in a statement.

“Liberals are free to waste their money however they see fit – but it’s not news that Epstein knew Donald Trump, because Donald Trump kicked Epstein out of his club for being a creep,” it read.

“Democrats, the media, and the organisation that’s wasting their money on this statue knew about Epstein and his victims for years and did nothing to help them while President Trump was calling for transparency, and is now delivering on it with thousands of pages of documents,” they continued.

“There’s very few people who have gone on the record and called Trump one of his good friends.”

Three plaques accompany the statue, two of which containing entries from the 50th birthday letter Trump allegedly to Epstein in the early 2000s.

A copy of the letter was made public this month by the House Oversight Committee, leading to a lawsuit from Trump’s legal team worth $10 billion as they argued it doesn’t even exist.

Reacting to the statue’s emergence on Reddit, one person suggested: “Whoever did this deserves every medal, award, and prize check in existence. They have won everything.”

“This is high caliber ultimate trolling right here. Take a note guys”, “When this is taken down, we should all scream about removing history, yeah?” and “Whoever spent their time, energy, and money to create this and pull off this stunt is a TRUE MF PATRIOT,” read another load of messages.

For context, the 79-year-old world leader and Epstein – who died in prison six years ago – shared a close friendship until the latter supposedly ‘stole’ one of Trump’s staff members for himself.

When the so-called ‘Epstein Files’ were released by the FBI, Elon Musk of all people was furious that not only Trump wasn’t named in his criminal ‘client list’ – there wasn’t one at all.
