Playboy model fumes as American Airlines flight attendant forces her to ‘button up’ in order to board plane
A former Playboy model has claimed she was singled out by an American Airlines flight attendant who found her outfit too inappropriate to travel.
Sara Blake Cheek, 34, a former Playboy Playmate and OnlyFans model, shared in a series of X posts how a flight attendant asked her to button her shirt before she could board the plane to leave Atlanta on Sunday night.
‘I was unaware that American airlines had a dress code that said you can’t wear athletic attire if you have big boobs,’ she posted, sharing a photo of the apparently offensive attire – a black bandeau underneath an open yellow flannel.
Cheek, a sports talk show host who runs The VIP Ballers and has over half a million social media followers, accompanied the look with jeggings, high socks and sneakers.
In another post 10 minutes later, Cheek wrote that she was ‘finally leaving Atlanta after a canceled flight this morning, rescheduling twice and then being delayed.
‘Now the flight attendant tells me to button my shirt, but not the other women wearing the same outfit but are different in color than I am,’ she continued, adding sarcastically that she is ‘glad I’m a platinum member.’
The airline has since apologized for the incident, and said it would investigate the flight attendant’s actions.
‘We have a deep culture of respect for both our customers and our team members, and we’re sorry for anything less than consistent and friendly service,’ it responded to one of her posts.

‘We’re sharing this experience with crew leadership internally and we’d like to have our specialist take a closer look if we can,’ the airline added as it asked Cheek to privately send over her contact information.
The airline had been forced to revise its policy on kicking passengers off planes for their ‘offensive’ outfits, body odor or bad attitude last year following a number of high-profile incidents.
In 2022, former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo said American Airlines staff members she risked being banned from her flight to Mexico because of her outfit – a black crop top and bike shorts.
They reportedly demanded that she put a blouse over the crop top, and Culpo ultimately obliged by putting on a large hoodie.
Yet she later came across a fellow passenger who was wearing a similar look, which had not been flagged by the American Airlines staff.
The other woman, wearing a turquoise outfit, was also left horrified by American Airlines’ treatment of Culpo, joking that the model actually looked far more reserved than she did, saying: ‘She’s covered up! My titties is out! That’s weird.’
The following year, comedian and YouTuber Chrissie Mayr said she and her friend, Keanu Thompson, were forced to change their outfits in front of the other passengers before they could board their flight to Dallas, Texas.

Mayr had been wearing a pair of sheer sparkly flared pants and a matching cropped long-sleeve top, while Thompson wore a long jungle-print skirt with slits running to the thigh and a matching bralette.
‘It was such a mortifying situation, and I know this wouldn’t have happened to us if we were trans, or obese or people of color,’ the comedian told the Daily Mail at the time.
Recounting the exact chain of events, she said: ‘They didn’t say what was wrong with our pants, the man at the gate just touched me on the arm and said: “Come with me I need to speak with you… you have to change your pants.”
‘It was such a panicked situation, I felt like I had to instantly do what he said or else we wouldn’t be allowed to board the plane. We also had plans to do appearances in Austin the next day (we’re comedians) so we didn’t want to be delayed.
In a follow up to her initial tweet, Chrissie explained that they both had to change at the gate ‘with no cover’ in front of other passengers.
Thompson also took to social media to highlight the debacle, writing: ‘I don’t understand how my friend and I were forced to change clothes AT THE GATE IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, minutes before our flight took off… the outfits we had on were more than appropriate.’

American Airlines finally changed its guidance after a group of black men were pulled off a flight because a flight attendant claimed the cabin smelled of body odor.
The eight men, who did not know each other, were then picked out and hauled off the aircraft.
Three of the passengers taken off the flight have since sued the airline, claiming that they were removed from the flight because of racial discrimination.
The NAACP also threatened to reinstate its travel warning against flying American Airlines in the aftermath, according to View from the Wing.
‘The goal is avoid removing a customer, not to remove them,’ the new policy read, adding that employees cannot ‘act alone,’ and must work with a co-worker to find a resolution to situations.
If issues not related to the safety and security of the flight escalate further, crew members have to fill out a Customer Event non-safety/non-security (CERS) form within 24 hours of the incident.
The captain also has the final say in a passenger being booted off the plane, but only ‘after a thorough assessment’.
