People have already noticed flaw with new iPhone as Samsung savagely troll Apple
Apple has rolled out its next generation of iPhones which includes a new ultra-thin model of its most popular device.
The iPhone 17 line-up includes a new slimmed-down model that will adopt the Air name that Apple already uses for its sleekest iPads and Mac computers.
In what has become an annual rite for Apple, all four new iPhone 17 models will feature better cameras and longer-lasting batteries than last year’s line-up.
The iPhone 17 will all boast at least 256 gigabytes of storage, doubling the minimum amount from the last generation and will be available in five colors: lavender, mist blue, black, white and sage.
“We are raising the bar again,” Apple CEO Tim Cook boasted in front of a crowd gathered in an auditorium named after the company’s late co-founder, Steve Jobs, located on its campus in Cupertino, California, on Tuesday (September 9).
Apple has announced its new iPhone 17s, including the iPhone Air
The iPhone Air is Apple’s thinnest iPhone yet which measures just 5.6mm thick, which is slightly thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 edge which is 5.8mm.
In light of Apple seemingly having one up on Samsung now with its new Air phone, the South Korean company wasted no time in taking a swipe it its main competitor.
While the Air is indeed very slim, there’s one thing it’s not… and that’s foldable.
The official Samsung Mobile US Twitter account posted in September in 2022 after Apple’s annual event where it announced its iPhone 14: “Let us know it when it folds.”
Samsung proceeded to retweet their three-year-old post on Tuesday after the iPhone 17 was aired.
“#iCant believe this is still relevant. [skull emoji],” Samsung said.
While Samsung has pointed out the phones don’t fold, others have spotted something else with the iPhone Air.
Yes the iPhone is über thin, but it seems to come at a cost of its aesthetics.
The USB-C port on the new iPhone Air is misaligned lol
Sharing snaps of the bottom part of the phone, somebody wrote on Twitter: “The USB-C port on the new iPhone Air is misaligned lol.”
A different person replied: “Ouch. This is so painful to look at. Somebody please help le cleanse my eyes.”
“Steve Jobs would have said this is a disgrace,” added a third.
Sharing why they think this is the case, someone suggested: “It’s because of how thin it is and the display layer needs that offset. There’s literally no space left vertically.”
What do you think? Does the slightly-off USB-C port put you off the idea of buying an iPhone Air?
