Ohio mother arrested for contaminating her own child’s hospital drip with feces, cops say

A mother has been arrested for allegedly contaminating an IV line with feces while her child was hospitalized.

Tiffany Le Sueur, 35, was arrested on Monday in Columbus, Ohio, after hospital staff alleged they saw her injecting a ‘foreign substance’ into her baby’s IV line using a syringe.

She faces a third-degree felony charge of endangering children with a special circumstance of torture and cruel abuse, according to Franklin County Court Records.

A criminal complaint obtained by the Columbus Dispatch said that Le Sueur was at Nationwide Children’s Hospital while her baby was being treated when the horrific sequence of events began.

Hospital staff first noted potential child abuse on Friday and contacted the Physical Abuse Unit at the Columbus Police Department.

Police advised that all future visits at the hospital would be monitored for the child’s safety.

However, two days later, staff reported that they saw Le Sueur on video surveillance footage going to the bathroom with a cup and coming out with what appeared to be fecal matter, according to the detective’s interviews noted in the criminal complaint.

Le Sueur was then accused of taking a syringe and injecting the feces into the IV line connected to her baby’s top left hand.
