Fans have often speculated about a “curse” associated with a particular color of fight trunks. In the past, rapper Drake was also labeled a curse, as fighters he bet on would often lose. Similarly, Diana Belbita has now accused Nina-Marie Daniele of being the UFC’s new curse.

After Alex Pereira lost his light heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313, Diana Belbita joked on X that Nina-Marie Daniele was the UFC’s new curse. In response, Daniele defended herself, pointing out that she filmed content with both Pereira and Ankalaev. She also advised Belbita to focus on her upcoming fight with Dione Barbosa instead of negativity. On X Nina wrote,

“I respect you as a fighter so I won’t say anything bad. How am I a curse when I filmed as many videos with Alex as I did with Ankalaev? Please elaborate. You should focus more on training and less on tweeting negativity. Focus on your fight with Dione Barbosa… you have a tough challenge ahead. Wish you the best.”

Diana Belbita Apologizes to Nina-Marie Daniele

After Alex Pereira lost his title at UFC 313, Diana Belbiţă joked on X that Nina-Marie Daniele was the UFC’s new curse. Daniele responded, defending herself and urging Belbita to focus on training instead of negativity. The Strawweight fighter later clarified that her comment was not meant seriously, apologizing to Daniele on X:

“God No. It’s a joke. I have nothing against you. I like you and I like watching your work. I’m also one of the people that think your work is not easy at all. My apologies if I upset you. Definitely just a joke.”

Fans are now witnessing a war of words between UFC fighters and content creators. While Diana Belbiţă has apologized, Nina-Marie Daniele has yet to respond. Fans will have to wait and see if she addresses the apology.
