Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy got the chance to deliver a compelling message to President Donald Trump at UFC 314 in Miami.

Dave Portnoy endorsed Trump in the 2020 and 2024 presidential elections but has been heavily critical of the POTUS in recent weeks. Portnoy claimed earlier this week that he’s lost nearly $20 million from Trump’s tariffs.

And during a recent appearance on CNN, Portnoy said he’d consider voting for the Democrats in the 2026 midterm elections if Trump’s tariffs continue to hurt the economy.

Well, Dave Portnoy got the opportunity to briefly talk to President Trump face-to-face at last night’s UFC event. Cameras caught the two shaking hands and exchanging some words, with Portnoy claiming that he’d like to have him on his “Davey Day Trader” program:

Judging by Trump’s reaction, it certainly looks like he’s open to speaking with the Barstool Sports president. After all, Trump is known for loving the extra publicity and media attention.

Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election and became just the second U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms, a feat previously held by Grover Cleveland for more than a century.
