Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov took yet another defining step towards elevating the sport of MMA to a different level. While Dagestani was one of the best fighters in UFC history, Nurmagomedov took a completely different path after retirement. Concentrating on helping the young fighters evolve, ‘The Eagle’ became one of the best MMA coaches. And now, he is all set to take his coaching journey to a different pedestal. But before that, he is not forgetting to throw some shade on Conor McGregor!

In a recent update, Nurmagomedov revealed that he has opened a brand new training facility. But what’s unique about this training center is that it’s nestled in the scenic Dagestani mountains. Built to elevate the training procedure of his students further, the camp is located in Nurmagomedov’s native village, Sildi. Meanwhile, the undefeated UFC fighter also pointed out how he has used the money he got from his fight against Conor McGregor to build the facility.

“I flew to America, became part of the biggest rivalry in combat sports history, beat someone I didn’t like — and got paid for it. When I returned to my homeland, I invested that money into this beautiful place in Dagestan,” Khabib wrote in his Instagram stories.

‘The Eagle’ also stated that a lot of wealth has been invested in making this facility. Meanwhile, with Nurmagomedov making merry as a coach, some of his students have already surpassed the legend!

Aljamain Sterling Opines That Islam Makhachev Has Surpassed Khabib Nurmagomedov

Aljamain Sterling responds with five impactful words to honor his former opponent’s heroic act, showing mutual respect beyond the octagon

Aljamain Sterling

Islam Makhachev has been the best student of Khabib Nurmagomedov. Becoming a UFC champion, Makhachev has dominated the lightweight division. And now, he is all set to get himself up to a double champion status. Thus, looking at his progress, Aljamain Sterling thinks Makhachev has surpassed Nurmagomedov.

“I think he’s surpassed Khabib, just based on how active he’s been. Khabib had 13 fights — Islam is already past that. In my opinion, he’s surpassed him because of all the incredible guys he’s beaten to get to the belt, and the guys he’s beaten while holding it,” said Sterling.

Surely, with Khabib getting some advanced training facilities in place, he is only expected to be churning out some more generational MMA talents in the future.
