Jon Jones Proposes Hilarious Way To Settle Feud With Dominick Reyes

Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes
Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes met inside the octagon 5 years back. And while the bout was settled via a unanimous decision, the rivalry looked done and dusted. But that was not to be. Cut to 2025, Reyes recently stated that he should have won the fight. This statement seemed to have raised Jon Jones’s frustration levels. Thus, he devised a rock, paper, and scissors solution to settle the feud!
In 2020, Reyes and Jones locked horns for a UFC light heavyweight title shot at UFC 247. While both the fighters put up a stellar show, the judges’ decision favored Jones. This was a call that has been disputed by many. And while Reyes reiterated the same, Jones devised a hilarious idea.
Responding to Reyes, Jones wrote on social media, “Dominick let’s play a game of rock paper scissors. Best two out of three. That way you can finally possibly beat me at something -so I don’t have to hear these stories 40 years from now.”

Reyes never got a rematch as Jones went up the ladder to heavyweight and became the champion. Meanwhile, facing heat for delaying the recent Jon Jones bout, Dana White gave a promising update.
Dana White Almost ‘Done’ Making Jon Jones Fight Official

Dana White and Jon Jones
Calls have been mounting for Jon Jones to face Tom Aspinall. With Aspinall winning the interim title, it has been a long time since the unification bout has not yet been announced. While Aspinall has teased Jones several times, the champion looked quite reluctant. Finally, UFC boss Dana White has some good news for the fans.
“The fight is going to happen. It’s just a matter of when now, getting it signed and done. The fight will happen. It’s going to happen. It’s done but it’s not done. Not done enough to sit right here now and announce it and give you a date. But the fight is going to happen,” White stated recently.
Thus, with Jon Jones probably fighting Tom Aspinall soon, the excitement is undoubtedly rising.
