Fighting Nerds have quickly become a rising force in the UFC, with their team gaining attention for an impressive undefeated streak. However, that run hit a bump recently when team member Carlos Prates suffered a loss to Ian Garry. Despite the setback, the rest of the squad remains focused on climbing even higher. Most recently, Jean Silva spoke out about his pursuit of the title and shared thoughts on his potential next opponents.

After his impressive win over Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314, Silva broke into the featherweight rankings and is now aiming even higher. He’s calling out fan favorite and former title challenger Diego Lopes to keep the momentum going. ‘The Lord’ believes a fight with Lopes would boost his case for a title shot. Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Brazilian said:

“It’s going to be Yair Rodriguez vs. Volkanovski, and then it’s just me and Diego left. That’s what I think, maybe the UFC will do. I’m not sure, but in my view, I think that’s what makes sense now. It may happen. A good fight.”

The 11th-ranked featherweight Silva, believes Movsar Evloev could be matched up against UFC newcomer Aaron Pico. He also questioned whether the UFC truly sees Evloev as a future champion. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await when and where ‘The Lord’ will step into the Octagon next.

Silva believes he’s ready for a title shot after a dominant submission win over Bryce Mitchell at UFC 314. With an undefeated UFC record and a 100% finish rate, he’s now eyeing a clash with champion Alexander Volkanovski. Silva even compared his stats to those of current title challenger Movsar Evloev, highlighting his activity and finishes. Sharing a side-by-side comparison, Silva wrote:

“I’m thinking here after I respectfully said that I wanted to face Volk next that a bunch of guys that nobody cares about showed up and start to talk about that fight too. I’m definitely in the right way.”

In the comparison, Jean Silva highlighted that despite a later debut, he’s already secured five UFC wins, all by finish, maintaining a 100% finish rate. Meanwhile, Russian contender Evloev has yet to record a single UFC finish. Still, Silva may have to wait for a title shot, as his recent entry into the featherweight rankings could keep him just outside the immediate title picture for now.
