Israel Adesanya Has A Bold Prediction About Who Will Win UFC 313

Israel Adesanya
Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have a longstanding rivalry. Their feud dates back to the GLORY kickboxing era, and the duo has been at loggerheads since then. Now, after years of incredible matchups, both fighters are looking to bury the hatchet once and for all. ‘The Last Stylebender’ and ‘Poatan’ have been giving hints about their reinstated friendship. And continuing with the trend, ‘Izzy’ has dropped a surprising prediction ahead of UFC 313.
According to Adesanya, Alex Pereira will come out on top against his Russian counterpart. Pereira, who had defended his title on three different occasions last year, will be up against Magomed Ankalaev. While there is significant noise about Ankalaev probably defeating ‘Poatan’, Adesanya does not think so. In a recent video, the former UFC champion predicted that Pereira would secure a win by knocking out Ankalaev in the fourth or fifth round.

Now, this is quite a bold statement to make. After all, Magomed Ankalaev has been taking verbal shots every other day. Ankalaev mentioned that he would not be using his wrestling and beat Pereira with his striking game. And while this might sound like an interesting strategy, Michael Bisping does not think so.
Michael Bisping Lashes Out At Magomed Ankalaev’s Strategy

Magomed Ankalaev
Former UFC star Michael Bisping cannot fathom why Magomed Ankalaev would want to change his strategy. Bisping stated that Pereira is one of the most lethal strikers in the game. Trying to take him down with striking would mean inviting danger for himself.
“We all know that Magomed Ankalaev says he’s not going to wrestle. I think it would be foolish [for him] not to wrestle, foolish not to mix things up, foolish to not even have the threat of the takedown to slow down the outputs of Alex Pereira,” Michael Bisping stated.
Thus, it is evident that there is so much to talk about the upcoming UFC 313 main event. Now, it remains to be seen what happens next.
