Henry Cejudo Defends His Neighbor After Confronting Driver Who Tried To Flee Hit-And-Run Scene

Henry Cejudo
Henry Cejudo turns out to be a true superhero. The former UFC champion has been going through a rough patch lately. While he is looking for a way to get back to the winning ways, ‘Triple C’ seems to be always alert of his surroundings. And it is for this very reason, he was able to stand up for one of his neighbours.
As per the reports, Cejudo and his producer, Dylan Rush were outside of their Phoenix house, when a car came towards them at full speed. While it did not hit Cejudo or his producer, it plowed into one of his neighbors’ houses. As the car reportedly was travelling at around 80-100 miles, significant damage was incurred to the property. As the driver decided to flee from the scene, Cejudo stepped in and took control.
“One of them ended up (punching) my neighbor, and that’s when I had to step in… Pretty much all my neighbours came in to fight the situation. I ended up lifting him, dropping him, slapped him around a little bit and just pretty much controlled him,” Cejudo told ‘MMA Junkie.’

Henry Cejudo Is Bidding Adieu To The UFC

UFC Star Henry Cejudo
After failing to defend his title against Aljamain Sterling, Cejudo thought an immediate fightback would help his cause. Unfortunately, back to back losses against Merab Dvalishvili and Song Yadong made him drift away from the championship scenario. In a recent statement issued to Helen Yee, Cejudo expressed his desire to retire.
“This is my last one. I want to leave this sport unscathed. The first time at the age of 33 I did it right, retired young… I got one more in me, make some money then that’s it. I’m out,” said Cejudo.
Surely, this comes as a sad turn of events for his fans. However, the manner in which Cejudo has left an impact on the UFC will be remembered for a long time.
