Heart stopping video shows toddler fly out of mother’s Mercedes SUV at busy LA intersection

A toddler flew out of her mother’s moving car at a busy intersection in California, heart stopping video shows.

A mother – since identified has 35-year-old Jacqueline Hernandez – was driving her Mercedes SUV through Fullerton, about 30 miles outside of Los Angeles, last week when the terrifying incident unfolded.

The driver made a left turn at a busy intersection and the front passenger door of her vehicle flew open, causing her 19-month-old child to tumble to the ground.

Hernandez appears to abruptly slam on her brakes, forcing the Toyota Camry behind her to grind to a sudden halt, as the crawling child wiggles on the ground.

She quickly exits the vehicle, scoops her daughter up and gets back into the car. Although it is not depicted in the clip, it is understood that Hernandez then drove away with her child in tow.

Police said the toddler sustained injuries consisted with a fall and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, the LA Times reported. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Hernandez was apprehended at her La Habra home four days later after a witness came forward to police. She was arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment.
