Four dead in Houston as man shoots woman, mechanic and innocent bystander who filmed his deadly rampage before turning gun on himself

Four people are dead after a man went on a rampage in Texas, fatally shooting three people across two locations before turning the gun on himself.

Houston Police are investigating the motive for the shooting spree, but ‘early indications’ suggest that all four deaths are linked, according to Lt. Larry Crowson.

The tragedy unfolded about 1pm in Sugar Land, Houston, when a motorist fired multiple shots at a woman driving another car.

The victim was hit by the onslaught of bullets and was later pronounced dead in hospital, according to city police spokesperson Alicia Alaniz.

Police were initially trying to determine if the incident was an act of road rage.

It has since emerged that the shooter had been in a relationship with the victim, and that it was not a random attack, according to KPRC2.

About 30 minutes later, Houston police received a report of a shooting at a mechanic just seven miles from the first incident.

Crowson said the shooter first fired at a mechanic before turning the gun on a bystander who had filmed the violence.

The description of the shooter and the vehicle he was in matched the accounts from the Sugar Land shooting, Crowson said.

‘Early indications are that it’s all related.’

A female victim was found suffering gunshot wounds in her car, she was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead

About four miles from the scene of the second shooting, police found the accused killer inside his car, dead from a bullet wound.

Police believe he turned the gun on himself after his shooting spree.

Authorities have not yet released the names of any of the victims, or of the shooter.
