Former UFC Heavyweight Champ Francis Ngannou Reportedly Involved In Fatal Motorcycle Accident That Killed Young Girl

Mixed martial artist and two-time heavyweight boxer Francis Ngannou might be in some serious trouble.

Ngannou was allegedly involved in a fatal crash that killed a girl in Cameroon’s capital city of YaoundéYaoundé, according to The Cameroon Concord.

The news only got worse as the victim, identified as Ntsama Brigitte Manuella, was taken to the hospital, where she died during surgery with severe injuries to her leg and arm.

The teenage girl was only 17.

Ngannou was riding the motorcycle when he ‘was in a collision with a 17-year-old girl’ in the Omnisports district of YaoundéYaoundé.

According to CameroonOnline.org, the incident reportedly took place during the Easter weekend. Local publications have reported conflicting accounts regarding the exact circumstances, with some reports suggesting that Ngannou’s vehicle collided with a motorcycle.

A whistleblower named N’zui Manto added on Facebook: “At Omnisport, YaoundéYaoundé, Ntsama Brigitte Manuella was hit by a motorbike driven by Francis Ngannou while returning from an outing with her girlfriends.”

“Ngannou was taken to the nearest hospital, the General Hospital. In touch with the family Ngannou has taken the responsibility of paying all the care bills,” Manto wrote on Facebook.

“Crushed leg and arm, doctors operated on the young woman. They (doctors) informed Ngannou that Manuella has not woken up after the surgery.”

As of now, Ngannou has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.

It remains unclear whether he may face legal consequences.

Ngannou last fought on October 19, 2024, when he made his PFL debut against Renan Ferreira.

Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has allegedly ‘been involved in a fatal motorbike accident in Cameroon.’

This would mark the second incident that has changed his life in recent months.

Ngannou suffered an unspeakable tragedy when his 15-month-old son Kobe died.

During an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast in 2024, Ngannou detailed the medical emergency that led to his son’s death.

“He has some malformation on his brain, which is something that we didn’t know,” Francis Ngannou said.

“He passed out twice. The first time was in Cameroon, we took him to the hospital. They didn’t find anything. The second time was in [Saudi Arabia], we took him to the hospital. They ran a lot of exams, they didn’t do anything. They did the EEG, they didn’t do the [CAT] scan or MRI, because according to them, their conclusion was that he had a swollen lung. That is what was pressing his chest and stopping him from breathing, and it created that thing.

“After all those exams, they gave him some medicine, that he’s going to be OK. Nothing to worry about. Because, at first, they even thought about asthma. They gave, like, a ventilator, and then afterward, after some research, they took it out. It [made me] confident.”
