Floyd Mayweather Jr. Doesn’t Hold Back While Giving His Thoughts On President Donald Trump

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather has made his stance on President Donald Trump clear following the latter’s return to office.

Mayweather spoke in support of Trump after his first run for the presidency in 2016, defending him over the infamous Access Hollywood video and lauding his authenticity.

“I feel people shy away from realness. This man didn’t do nothing. Listen, if y’all didn’t want the man in the White House, y’all should have voted the other way,” he said back then.

With Trump spending a full term and then returning to win the elections in 2024, Mayweather’s feelings on the 46th and 47th POTUS have not changed.

The boxing icon made a recent appearance on FOX Business and claimed to be happy the 78-year-old is back, declaring him the “best President” the country has ever had.

“I’m happy. But we’re never happy. We had Trump before. We didn’t appreciate him. But I think Trump is a great president, one of the – actually he’s the best president, in my eyes. He’s the best president we’ve ever had. Great businessman, and that’s what it’s about,” he remarked.

“Trump has done an amazing job, and a lot of people around America are upset, but no matter who goes in the White House we’re always upset. And I think Trump is the man for the job. He’s the best president, in my eyes.”

Mayweather is widely considered to be the greatest boxer of all time and is definitely right up there.

He won 50 fights between 1996 and 2017—27 by knockout—and went on to have an incredible career after winning bronze in the 1996 Olympics. He retired with an undefeated record and won 15 major world championships in five different weight classes.

Mayweather was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2021.
