Delta Air Lines ’embracing MAGA’ with change to Gulf of America

Delta Air Lines has revised its internal manuals to reflect more MAGA-friendly terminology, including the Gulf of America, according to documents shared by President Donald Trump.

Trump revealed the change in a post to Truth Social, including an image of what appeared to be a Delta airway manual the president said was shared by a Delta captain.

‘Delta’s official memo to employees. Big changes Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America,’ the post said, eight months after Trump announced the name change in an executive order.

The post also mentioned how the airline has reverted back to using the term ‘Airmen,’ after ‘liberals thought [it] was racist to [sic] they changed it to Notice to Air Missions.’

‘I think they are finally embracing MAGA,’ the post concluded.

The Daily Mail contacted Delta to confirm the changes. A statement from the airline to the New York Post appeared to confirm the tweaks.

‘Those changes were mandated by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration),’ Delta’s statement read.

The FAA made the revision to ‘Notice to Air Missions’ in 2021, during Joe Biden’s presidency.

The body of water spanning from Mexico to Florida bore the Gulf of Mexico name for more than 400 years.

The decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, earned pushback from publications like the Associated Press, which the White House blocked from attending Trump’s press availabilities as a result.

The AP, which continues to use the Gulf of Mexico name, is still barred from participating in the White House press pool for major presidential events.

In contrast, companies like Google have embraced the change.

Its Maps app refers to the area as the Gulf of America. Other companies to adopt the change include BP, Chevron and Shell.

On Thursday, Trump signed an executive order renaming the Department of Defense the Department of War.

‘We won the first World War, we won the Second World War, we won everything before that and in between. And then we decided to go woke, and we changed the name to Department of Defense,’ he said from the Oval Office.

‘So we’re going Department of War.’
