Conor McGregor has been out of action for a fairly long time. After suffering a broken ankle against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy fight, McGregor is yet to make a comeback. While his return has been teased several times, the reality has not changed. However, in a recent life update, ‘The Notorious’ dropped quite significant news. Apparently, he is coming down to the US to meet none other than President Donald Trump.

In a recent update, the former UFC double champ stated that he will meet Donald Trump soon. However, the purpose of the meeting is still unknown.

“President [Donald Trump] I depart for Washington today with my family, I look very forward to our meeting tomorrow on St. Patrick’s Day at the Oval Office,” said McGregor.

Well, Trump is an avid UFC follower and has a good rapport with Dana White. Thus, McGregor might be cooking something special with his UFC return. Or, the meeting might simply be about something unrelated to fighting. Meanwhile, in a recent interaction with the Irish Prime Minister, Conor McGregor received significant praise from President Trump.

Conor McGregor’s public image has taken a hit significantly in recent times. With multiple accusations slapped on his name, many people have reconsidered how they perceive McGregor. However, that is not the case with US President Donald Trump. In a recent meeting with the Irish Prime Minister, Micheal Martin, Trump heaped praises on ‘Mystic Mac.’

“I do happen to like your fighter, he’s got the best tattoos I’ve ever seen,” Trump said. “Conor’s great, right? Talking about Conor, but you have a lot of great Irish fighters actually. Great fighters. I don’t know what that is, but Ireland’s always had a lot of really good fighters. You know why? Because they’re tough people. They’re smart people, and they’re passionate people.”

Thus, both entities are in each other’s good books. Now, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
