Chris Eubank Jr enrages Conor Benn by issuing sinister threat to his dad Nigel after boxing legend grabbed him by the throat for smashing an egg over his son
Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will meet in their big grudge fight on April 26
Bitter build-up continues in the second explosive press conference of the week
Chris Eubank Jr hit back at Nigel Benn after the boxing legend had grabbed him by the throat, prompting a furious reaction from son Conor.
Eubank Jr had sparked mayhem at Tuesday’s press conference by smashing an egg across Conor Benn’s face and labelling him a ‘dirty little omelette’. That was a reference to Benn’s bizarre claim that his two failed drugs tests that led to their October 2022 bout being cancelled could have been due to eating too many eggs.
In the mass brawl that followed, Nigel Benn grabbed Eubank Jr by the neck as the build-up to the April 26 fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium descended into carnage.
And, in another heated press conference on Thursday, Eubank Jr raised the stakes further by issuing a haunting threat to the 61-year-old.
Speaking with an eerie calmness, Eubank Jr said: ‘You did put your hand on my neck. I’m going to give you a pass because of what happened.
‘I’m just letting you know that if your hand ever touches me again, you won’t get it back.’

That prompted an immediate reaction from Conor Benn who shouted out ‘Shut your f***ing mouth. Threaten my dad again and watch what happens to you.’
Nigel Benn then moved to calm the situation by interrupting his son with ‘I can handle this. I’m old school, mate.’
Before turning his attention on Eubank Jr and magnanimously offering ‘I understand that and I apolgise for doing that, mate.’

Conor Benn was left furious by Chris Eubank Jr’s threat but his father stopped the outburst
The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) have confirmed Eubank Jr could face punishment for his egg stunt, but Benn is only focused on getting payback in the ring as he sent an ominous threat to his rival.
In response to an X post stating that Eubank Jr could be punished by the BBBoC, Benn wrote: ‘Don’t worry satsuma head I won’t be pressing charges. I’m not a f**** Devin Haney. I’ll be getting it back in blood.’
The longstanding rivalry between Eubank Jr and Conor Benn – which began when their fathers fought inside the ring in the 1990s – will be settled when they meet later on this year, after seeing a previously scheduled bout in 2022 fall through.
