Offset Shares Snaps of His Blended Family as Son Wave and Daughter Kulture Celebrate Brother Kody’s Birthday

Offset recently took a break from his busy schedule to celebrate a special milestone in his family—his son Kody’s 10th birthday. The Migos rapper, 33, shared heartwarming moments from the event, showcasing the bond between his children as they enjoyed the celebration.

A Family Affair: Wave and Kulture Steal the Spotlight

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, March 9, Offset posted a series of photos and videos from the festivities. Among them was a sweet clip of his daughter Kulture, 6, performing a split by the swimming pool after cheering on her sister Kalea’s dance moves. Meanwhile, his 3-year-old son Wave also captured attention, lounging on a pool chair in one image and playfully sporting Hulk gloves near a pool table in another.

The birthday boy, Kody, had a special moment with his younger brother as well. In a touching video, he was seen holding Wave in his arms just before blowing out the candles on his big day.

Offset Reflects on Fatherhood

The celebration was another reminder of how far Offset has come as a father. In a 2019 cover story for Haute Living, the Swing My Way rapper opened up about the challenges of fatherhood, particularly when he first became a parent at 17.

“The journey of fatherhood was kind of tough for me at first,” he admitted. “I was trying to find myself. I didn’t have much direction on what it meant to be a father.”

Though he acknowledges past mistakes, Offset said he has no regrets and continues to evolve as a parent. Balancing a career in music with being present for his kids has been difficult, but he’s learned to prioritize family time.

“It’s challenging when you have a career like this and you’re constantly on the road. It makes it tough to see your kids, especially when they’re young,” Offset explained. “Now that I’m older, though, I’m learning my way.”

A Father of Six: Inside Offset’s Blended Family

Offset is a proud father to six children. He shares three kids with fellow rapper Cardi B—son Wave Set Cephus, daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, and their newborn daughter, whose name has not yet been revealed. Additionally, he has three children from previous relationships: Kody Cephus, 10, Jordan Cephus, 15, and Kalea Marie Cephus, 9.

Despite his demanding career, Offset ensures that he remains actively involved in his children’s lives. During an interview with PEOPLE in September 2022, while promoting his collaboration with Doritos, he spoke about balancing fatherhood and work.

“Being a father is important to me personally,” he said. “For instance, there’s a big party on Saturday in Los Angeles, and my son Kody’s first football game is on Sunday. There’s no way I’m missing either event, so I’m going to have to make it work. It’s a priority to me.”

A Commitment to Structure and Stability

Offset has also emphasized the importance of providing his children with structure, beyond just material wealth.

“I don’t play when it comes to that because I know they’re growing up. It’s cool to be the dad that’s an artist, but when you get older and start reflecting, I want my kids to say, ‘Dang, my daddy balanced all of that—he took care of me, taught me things, helped me walk, helped me say my first words, and still was on tour,’” he shared.

He also stressed that while he ensures his children have everything they need, his biggest goal is to instill a sense of discipline and responsibility.

“That’s my biggest thing—I don’t want my kids to have everything in the world and then lack structure because I was never around to give it to them,” he added.

Cardi B’s Absence Sparks Speculation

Noticeably absent from the celebration was Cardi B, further fueling speculation about the state of their relationship. The WAP rapper, 32, filed for divorce from Offset in July last year, marking the second time the couple has gone through a public breakup. While the two have had a history of reconciling, sources suggest that this time, their split may be more permanent.

As Offset continues to focus on his children and personal growth, fans remain eager to see how his family dynamic unfolds. Whether or not Cardi B and Offset find their way back together, one thing is clear—the rapper is dedicated to being an involved and loving father.
