Inside Coachella’s Star-Studded Red Bull Mirage with A-Listers Like Cardi B — and $350 Omakase

The desert was hot, but the Red Bull Mirage was hotter.

Red Bull’s striking structure made its anticipated Coachella debut weekend one, attracting a slew of star-studded attendees to the 20,000 square-foot installation situated in the heart of the festival grounds in Indio, California.

With temps maxing over 100°F during the music weekend stretch, the Red Bull Mirage can be comparable to a desert hallucination — specifically, an oasis that served as the ultimate hang for stars inside the multi-level setup that’s structured within its massive pyramid frame.

Emma Roberts was among the first notable names who stopped by the space on day one of the festival, getting an intimate first look before the doors officially opened for the night. She chilled with a group of friends in the air-conditioned lounge on the Red Bull Mirage’s second floor, escaping the heat and the crowds of the festival below.

The American Horror Story alum complimented her long, red locks with an effortless-cool ‘fit. She kept it simple, yet Coachella chic with a white, sleeveless top and a tiny black skirt paired with knee-high black boots to complete the look.

Charli D’Amelio and her squad of friends arrived later in the night on Friday.

The social media star was joined by her & Juliet Broadway costar Maya Boyd and pal Alexa Davis, all who enjoyed complimentary bites from Nobu — or rather, the festival’s first-of-its-kind dining destination located on the Red Bull Mirage’s air conditioned first floor.

The extravagant pop-up omakase experience was curated by world-renowned Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, who served up Japanese-Peruvian dishes and signature staples from the luxury restaurant throughout the weekend.

Festival goers, too, were able to make reservations at the happening haunt for $350 per person (and it booked up… fast!).

One may question sushi in the desert, but Nobu’s menu — featuring items that were freshly prepared before guests’ eyes at the full-length sushi bar on the first floor — was the talk of the Red Bull Mirage. Let’s break it down.

Chilled edamame, miso dry salmon and rock shrimp tempura were among the starters, followed by an assortment of rolls like spicy tuna and a baked crab hand roll, plus a selection of nigiri: toro, bluefin tuna, yellowtail, salmon, king crab and Japanese red snapper.

Then there were a la carte selections for an additional cost, including $120 wagyu tataki, $150 caviar hand rolls and $100 shaved truffle, to name a few. The drink menu had custom cocktails — all mixed with either Red Bull Energy Drink, Summer Edition White Peach, Red Edition or Sugarfree flavors.

The omakase experience was also dinner with a view — and live entertainment — due to the Red Bull Mirage’s prime location directly across from Quasar Stage. The impressive installation provided epic views from its perches that overlooked the festival grounds for attendees to enjoy artists’ sets.

The Red Bull Mirage itself, meanwhile, boasted a lineup of its own with curated DJ sets from today’s top talent. DJ Joaqu.n kicked off day one, followed by DJ Pee .Wee (aka Anderson .Paak) on Saturday night, spinning an all-vinyl set of hits while simultaneously hyping up the crowd.

Everything from Anderson favorites, to Silk Sonic chart-toppers to Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” the hitmaker undoubtedly brought the vibes — and the energy — to the second-floor scene, the invite-only space for artists, creatives and industry folk.

The top floor of the Red Bull Mirage, meanwhile, was sectioned off for VIPs only.

Cardi B was among those who enjoyed the luxurious, security-guarded spot complete with a sky deck perfectly positioned for breathtaking, near-360° views of the entire Coachella festival grounds.

The rapper stopped by the Red Bull Mirage with a close circle of friends late Saturday night while Barry Can’t Swim took the Quasar Stage. Nobu’s signature selects and caviar were served as they checked out the space.

Lisa, who graced the Coachella lineup this year and formerly topped it as headliner with Blackpink in 2023, was among the A-list guests who stopped by on Sunday.

The Mirage was packed on the third and final day of Coachella weekend one, many who swarmed the spot for the hot lineup of artists slated on the Quasar Stage. Tiësto attracted a sea of fans to his anticipated set, returning to music and arts festival for the first time in 15 years.

Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 hung out at the Mirage on Sunday night. The lead guitarist chilled at a VIP table alongside friends in the exclusive viewing section on the venue’s first floor for the Dutch DJ’s golden hour performance.

Before taking the Outdoor Stage for his return to the Coachella lineup was Zedd, who stopped by the Mirage on the last night. Becky G, Miranda Kerr, social media stars Griffin Johnson and Josh Richards, Gabi Moura, Tinx, The Montana Boyz and more enjoyed all that the space had to offer.

While Coachella weekend one is done and dusted, the Red Bull Mirage returns for weekend two with a whole new lineup of DJs within the venue and the Quasar Stage it overlooks.

It runs from Friday April 18 to Sunday, April 20 for another round of music, energy… and caviar!
