Cardi B Blames Trump for Ruining Her Louboutin Heels

During an Instagram Live session after the Super Bowl on February 9, Cardi B vented about her $3,000 Louboutin heels getting damaged at the most anticipated sporting event in the U.S. The rapper, born in 1992, went as far as blaming former President Donald Trump for the incident.
Cardi B explained that the cart service at the Caesars Superdome stadium in New Orleans was temporarily halted due to Trump’s presence. As a result, she was forced to walk in her designer shoes, causing the signature red soles to peel off.

“Look at how messed up my shoes are… It’s all because of Trump. Now I like him even less! He didn’t need to come to this damn Super Bowl. Ruining my shoes like that!” the Up hitmaker complained.
Cardi B also criticized the Secret Service, accusing them of making things difficult for people at the event instead of just protecting the president. Throughout her live stream, she remained visibly upset over her damaged heels. She even demanded that Trump allow her deported uncle to return to the U.S. as compensation for her loss.
Trump had made history by becoming the first sitting U.S. president to attend a Super Bowl, though he left before the game ended.
Shortly after, Cardi B’s rant blaming Trump sparked heated discussions across online forums. Many users mocked her reasoning, calling it absurd.
Netizens commented:
“She’s blaming Trump because she had to walk? Did she expect him to attend without security, risking assassination, just so her shoes wouldn’t get scuffed? Who does she think she is?”
“She shouldn’t have been there in the first place—watching from home with her three kids would’ve made more sense. I’m sure when she’s at a club or a store, her own security also causes inconvenience to others.”
“Don’t wear $3,000 shoes to a football game if you don’t want them ruined.”
“Trump probably doesn’t even know who Cardi B is. Those shoes should’ve been confiscated. They look like a deadly weapon.”

Some believe Cardi B was merely using the shoe incident as an excuse to express her broader dissatisfaction with Trump, particularly over his immigration policies.
During the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Cardi B publicly endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and even attended the former vice president’s campaign rally in Wisconsin. This led to an online feud between her and billionaire Elon Musk.
Following Trump’s victory, Cardi B made a controversial post suggesting that states that supported him “deserved to be hit by a hurricane.” Although she quickly deleted the post, it was already captured by internet users, sparking backlash for its insensitivity.
