Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian WARNS Drake for Insulting Her

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, just made it very clear that he is not here for Drake’s attempts to come after his wife. If Drake thought Alexis was just some random guy he could shade without consequences, he was sorely mistaken. Alexis is fully in support of Serena and standing ten toes down behind her.

The drama kicked off after Serena made a cameo during Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance—specifically the part where Kendrick almost called Drake a “PDF file” in front of millions of people. Serena danced along to the track, and it didn’t take long for Drake to respond in his usual petty fashion, taking shots at Serena. But Alexis Ohanian wasn’t having it and immediately stepped in to defend his wife, sending a direct warning to Drake and his lackeys to back off.

Drake might want to tread carefully because Alexis did not come to play.

Serena’s History with Drake

Serena Williams' tense history with Drake explained — what her cameo with Kendrick Lamar really meant | HELLO!

Serena’s appearance at Kendrick’s performance was a surprise to many, but maybe it shouldn’t have been. If there’s anyone who dislikes Drake as much as Kendrick does, it’s Serena Williams.

She and Drake had a thing back in the day, but let’s just say it didn’t end well. Back in 2010, rumors about Serena and Drake being romantically involved ran wild. Though she never confirmed anything, Drake was out here acting like an over-eager fanboy. GQ Magazine even once crowned him Serena’s most embarrassing groupie, and honestly, they weren’t wrong.

But the moment Serena got serious with Alexis Ohanian, Drake flipped the switch and started acting bitter. Suddenly, the man who had spent years thirsting over Serena was now throwing shade at her husband. In a classic case of projection, Drake tried to call Alexis Serena’s groupie—as if he hadn’t been doing the absolute most for years.

On his 2022 track Middle of the Ocean, Drake rapped:

“Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie. He claimed we don’t got a problem but, no boo, it is like you coming for sushi.”

In response, Alexis shut him down effortlessly. He posted a photo of himself and their daughter, Olympia, proudly cheering on Serena at one of her matches. The caption? A masterful clapback:

“The reason I stay winning is because I’m relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do—including being the best groupie for my wife and daughter.”

Now that is how you handle a hater with class.

Serena’s Revenge at the ESPYs

Serena got her subtle revenge when she walked out to Kendrick’s Not Like Us at the ESPYs. And if we’ve learned anything from this Kendrick vs. Drake beef, it’s that no one—not even Drake himself—should ever pick a fight with Kendrick Lamar.

But, as expected, Drake couldn’t help himself and had to respond in his usual roundabout way. Out of nowhere, he dropped 100 GB of unreleased content on a mysterious website, 100gigs.org, in what many saw as an attempt to distract from his beef with Kendrick.

It flopped.

Instead of taking the heat off him, Drake found himself under even more scrutiny when it was revealed that one of his old songs, Too Good with Rihanna, was actually about Serena—not RiRi. In leaked footage, he casually admitted this while talking to his mom.

Serena, however, didn’t waste any time addressing him directly. Instead, she kept it cute and let her moves at the Super Bowl speak for themselves.

Alexis Claps Back at Critics

Serena faced backlash for her Super Bowl appearance, with some people accusing her of still being hung up on Drake. But she shut that down quickly, explaining:

“When Kendrick Lamar and team called and said, ‘We’ve been trying to do something forever—what about this? We loved your walk at the Olympics after you won the gold medal,’ I was like, ‘Super Bowl?! Are you serious?!’ When in the world would I ever be able to dance at a Super Bowl? Never. Let’s do it!”

However, the criticism didn’t stop there, and Alexis once again came to his wife’s defense. When former sports columnist Jason Whitlock threw shade at him, calling him a beta male for defending Serena, Alexis didn’t hesitate to shut him down with one of the most savage clapbacks of the year.

“I get it—you’re 57, and life didn’t turn out the way you imagined. That kind of disappointment must be exhausting. You’re the embodiment of ‘peaked in high school,’ spending decades chasing validation from strangers through likes and digital hugs.

Criticism only fuels your victim complex, reinforcing the delusion that there is some grand conspiracy against you. In reality, you just have terrible takes.”

He continued:

“There’s still time to rewrite the ending. Start by working on yourself first. Wake up every morning trying to be a little better, a little more curious. You won’t have time for irrational hating—you’ll be too busy winning.”

Whew. That one had people feeling second-hand embarrassment for Whitlock.

Drake’s Latest Creepy Move

Realizing he couldn’t win a direct fight with Alexis, Drake did what he does best—he got weird. Instead of coming for Alexis, he took to Instagram for the first time in months to post a picture with Serena’s former manager.

Fans immediately called him out for being creepy, with some pointing out how uncomfortable the woman in the photo looked.

“I’m convinced Drake is incapable of dissing a man straight up. He always has to go through a woman to make his point—it’s embarrassing.”

“Drake is always in women’s business. Real Housewife of Toronto.”

“Why does she look so uncomfortable? Why is he posting a ‘hostage situation’ as a gotcha moment? Weirdo.”
