She opened up about how life on the road has changed now that she has additional responsibilities. βTouring looks like a lot of responsibilityβit looks like way more luggage,β she laughed. βThe bottles have to come, the nanny, extra diapers, wipes, all the organics, the disinfectantsβyou name it.β
Despite the challenges, she expressed gratitude for her son, whom she describes as a happy and easygoing baby. βKK is going to be a tour baby. He flies, he doesnβt cry, he just plays and laughs. Iβm so grateful,β she shared. Even Nelly, her longtime partner, has taken notice, often joking that she got βreally luckyβ with such a well-behaved child.
Juggling Two Tours
While Ashanti will be embarking on her Bring It tour in the UK, Nelly will also be on the road for his own extensive tour. βHeβs going all the way to the end of the year, and Iβm not happy about that,β she admitted. However, thereβs hope for some on-stage reunions. βThere may be a few dates that he can pop out on me, and weβre definitely going to try.β
