Hulk Hogan’s family release statement following his death aged 71

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan’s family have released a statement following news that the star has died at the age of 71.
Early reports indicated that the wrestling icon suffered a cardiac arrest while at his home at Florida, however, this has not yet been confirmed.
Last month, it was reported that Hogan was recovering from a major operation on his heart, and a source close to the wrestler spoke about it to US Weekly.
They said: “Hulk had pretty serious heart surgery a few weeks ago and was doing well afterward.”
As news of his passing reached social media today, fans from across the world praised the icon for his contribution to the sport of wrestling as well as his character and personality.
In an official statement, his family said: “It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend. Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones.
