Belal Muhammad brands Colby Covington a ‘moron’ for childish lunch prank ahead of UFC 315 showdown with Jack Della Maddalena

Welterweight champion then responded, calling Covington a ‘moron’
Muhammad faces Jack Della Maddalena in UFC 315 title fight this weekend
Belal Muhammad has branded Colby Covington a ‘moron’ for his childish prank at the UFC Performance Institute ahead of UFC 315.
Controversial welterweight, Covington, filmed himself hiding pre-made food that Muhammad, who takes on Jack Della Maddalena for the title this weekend, was supposed to have during training.
He said: ‘We took Belal’s food and we hid it in the back f***ing corner so he’ll never be able to see it dude.
‘Guys, we just saw Belal’s food in here so we’re going to hide it from him. Belal, your food is not going to be here when you come in.
The camera man chipped in with: ‘Nobody is finding that, nobody is going to find it.’
Before Covington added: ‘Sorry Belal, you’re a f***ing bum. He ain’t smart enough to look around that fridge, dumber than a box of rocks.’

Belal Muhammad will put his title on the line against Jack Della Maddalena this weekend

Maddalena defeated Gilbert Burns in his last outing and is a dangerous striker
During his UFC 315 media day press conference, Muhammad responded, saying: ‘He hid my food? I’m not even in Las Vegas, that’s how much of a moron he is.
‘I don’t know what he’s doing. These guys are like YouTubers now. Kamaru’s a podcaster, Colby’s a YouTuber. They need to do a podcast together, “The Biggest Losers”.’
Muhammad’s reference to Usman is concerning an altercation between the pair on a podcast recording that abruptly ended after 10 minutes.
Neither man has specifically revealed what caused the scrap but former champion Usman said he and Muhammad would need security to separate them if they have to be in the same room again.
For all the animosity heading his way from Covington and Usman, it is Maddalena who Muhammad needs to focus on.
The brilliant Australian striker heads to Montreal as the underdog this weekend but is a dangerous one. Muhammad claimed the belt with a suffocating win over Leon Edwards and will now try to launch an era of dominance.
The main event takes place this Saturday night at around 5am UK time and Mail Sport will be on hand with live updates throughout the card.
