Speaking with PEOPLE, Ashanti couldn’t hide her pride and happiness when talking about their “little angel.”
“He’s a blessing, he’s an angel. My life is amazing right now. I’m super blessed, so happy. I’m insanely in love with him!”
Nelly, ever the jokester, admitted he’s still getting plenty of sleep—unlike Ashanti, who laughed about her new-mom exhaustion. Despite the sleepless nights, the singer glows as she describes how much their lives have changed:

After welcoming KK on July 18, 2024, Ashanti made waves on social media by confidently showing off her postpartum body and sharing her proud journey into motherhood:
“Four weeks postpartum. You have no idea what this body can do!”

A Love Story With a New Chapter
From a surprise proposal and a secret wedding at the end of 2023, to Ashanti’s playful pregnancy announcement to her mom—“I’m going to need about nine months!”—the couple has invited fans along for every emotional step.
