Henry Cavill may be a new dad, but he’s still doing the things he loves like acting, and a rather delicious tradition he’s been doing well before his baby came into the world. On April 5, Cavill shared an update on his Instagram for the first time in seven weeks, showing his latest cooking creation.

The Man of Steel star shared photos with the caption reading, “Cook day! Today we have two 35-day-aged Galician Rib Eyes. Galician beef is, in my opinion, the best in the world! Incredibly deep, beefy flavour. But I digress, we also have an olive fed wagyu tenderloin which has a really interesting flavour profile.”

He added, “All steaks were dry brined overnight and left to properly come up to room temperature (takes a while but allows the fat to render easily with the way I cook hot and fast).”

“To go with the steaks – linguine with a garlic confit butter sauce! Which is a recipe I found online. It sounds fancy but it’s just roast garlic blended with butter, rolled into a snazzy little sausage, cooled in the fridge, and then whisked in a pan with pasta water! #Foooooood #1MillionGarlics,” he concluded.

Now, you may be like, “How does this have anything to do with parenting?! I’m hungry now!” Well, a couple of things: for instance, this shows how an evening could look like with the new parents, full of good food and an intimate day in. But the main thing it shows is that Cavill hasn’t stopped his meaty hobby, and the tradition of sharing it with his loyal fans on Instagram.

Back on Feb 16, 2025, also, known as the previous post before this new one, uploaded a series of photos for his “Sunday steak dinner” and gave all the details with it.

And back in Sept 2024, he shared another steak update to his Instagram with the caption reading, “Sunday Shteak.”

You get the idea: You can go back so far on his Instagram, and he’s smoking up some kind of meat. And its nice to see that even through the chaos of bringing a baby, he still has time to do some hobbies.

For those who don’t know, Cavill and Natalie Viscuso have been dating since 2021. They confirmed their relationship in April 2021, but kept their romance low-key over the years. However, they have collaborated in the entertainment industry together, such as working on an adaptation of the tabletop game Warhammer 40,000.

Not only do they share dogs together, but in April 2024, they confirmed they were expecting a baby together.

“I’m very excited about it,” he told Access Hollywood. “Natalie and I are both very excited. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.” Then, on Jan 2025, it was reported that they are now engaged, and that they welcomed their child together.
