ѕєχ And The City fans were in for a surprise when they one of the stars of the iconic comedy revealed her intimate kitchen setup on Instagram this week.
Cynthia Nixon, who went on to star on HBO’s sequel series And Just Like That, gave her 1.5 million Instagram followers a tour of the kitchen at her home in Montauk, located in New York’s East Hampton.
While her fans likely expected a luxurious, state-of-the-art culinary paradise — the 59-year-old actress had a surprisingly cozy, old-school kitchen that was likely similar to what many of the people watching the video work with on a daily basis.
‘This is my kitchen in Montauk!’ Cynthia — who is worth $20 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth — gushed while beaming in the midst of the cozily cluttered space. ‘I’m about to serve up some coffee.’
She was dressed casually in an orange apron from the Manhattan deli and store Zabar’s, which she wore over a purple T-shirt and a black-and-white patterned skirt while sporting a swept-back blond bob
The actress — who will be seen without one of her key costars when season three of And Just Like That returns later this month — boasted a refreshingly unpretentious Moka pot on her gas stove for making the brew.

Then she gestured toward the wall to reveal well-used pots and pans with years of stains and scratches on them, suggesting that she is an home chef.
The window to the left of her hanging pots was open for a spring breeze, and she had the sill decorated with metal tins and a bag of Peet’s coffee, which most of her viewers could find in an average supermarket.
She proudly showed off the teal plastic plastic basket that she used when picking things from her garden, and she noted that she had some ‘very delicious and very fresh’ kale that was straight from the garden resting in a colander.
Then Cynthia gestured up on top of her weathered, medium-brown cabinets to show her hodgepodge of glass vases for all the flowers she likes to pick from her garden.
She also noted that she had a lobster pot sitting up on her cabinets, which may have been unfamiliar to some of her followers who don’t live in the Northeast.
The actress had a long black peninsula in her kitchen, which held more kale, the shears that she uses in her garden and tea she had already made.
She had already warmed up some milk in a pot on the stove for her coffee until it was foaming to top, and she poured a generous portion into her modestly sized cup from her ‘Italian coffee maker.’
But she admitted that she needed ‘a little more foam’ in a playfully guilty voice, before dropping a hearty dollop on top.
