“SHE KNEW”: Karoline Leavitt and Karine Jean-Pierre’s Face-Off Escalates into a Personal Battle—The Room ERUPTS as Leavitt Lands the FINAL BLOW! | HO

Washington, D.C. — In a scathing critique delivered Monday, Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt accused White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and the mainstream media of orchestrating a cover-up regarding President Joe Biden’s cognitive and physical fitness to serve as President. Leavitt’s remarks come amid an intensifying national conversation about media accountability and the role of legacy outlets in shaping public perception during the Biden presidency.
Media Accountability Under Fire
The controversy reignited over the weekend at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner, an event often criticized for its cozy relationship between the press and political elites. This year, the dinner drew particular scrutiny after Axios reporter Alex Thompson, formerly of Politico, publicly admitted that the press had “missed the story of Joe Biden’s demise—his health demise, his cognitive demise—during the four years” of his presidency. Thompson’s comments echoed sentiments previously expressed by CNN’s Jake Tapper, who noted that mainstream outlets failed to adequately report on Biden’s decline.
Leavitt seized on these admissions as evidence of a deliberate effort by the media to shield Biden from scrutiny. “It was laughable,” Leavitt said, referencing the WHCA dinner where a journalist was awarded for reporting on Biden’s mental competence years after the issue had become apparent to many Americans. “It didn’t take much—just two eyes and two ears—to realize that Joe Biden was completely inept, unfit to serve as President of the United States. And nobody in the legacy media, nobody in this city, wanted to talk about it.”
Accusations of a White House Cover-Up
Leavitt’s criticism was not limited to the press. She directly accused Karine Jean-Pierre, her predecessor in the White House briefing room, of actively participating in the alleged cover-up. “I recall being on President Trump’s campaign and calling out Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, and we were accused of manufacturing deep fakes. My predecessor accused us from the White House podium of manufacturing deep fakes, when she knew—and everybody in this White House knew—the true status of Joe Biden’s physical and mental fitness.”
Leavitt argued that the mainstream media allowed this “cover-up” to persist by refusing to investigate or report honestly on Biden’s condition. “They tried to get the American people not to believe their own eyes. It is truly one of the greatest cover-ups and scandals in American history,” she declared.
Embracing Independent Media
In response to what she described as a failure of legacy media, Leavitt announced that the Trump campaign—and potentially a future Trump White House—would “welcome independent journalists, social media influencers, and content creators into the White House with open arms.” She praised independent journalists for raising concerns about Biden’s fitness long before mainstream outlets acknowledged the issue, stating, “Nobody gave you credence as far as the legacy media is concerned. And now they host cocktail parties where they’re applauding each other and patting each other on the back for uncovering the truth—years later. It’s truly sad to see.”
Leavitt emphasized that these changes were “much-needed and long overdue,” signaling a shift in how the Trump campaign intends to approach media relations moving forward.
Legal Action Against CBS and The New York Times
The discussion also turned to the Trump campaign’s ongoing lawsuit against CBS, which Leavitt confirmed would “fully go forward.” She referenced a strong statement from President Trump in response to CBS’s reporting, labeling it “fake news.” The lawsuit, she indicated, is part of a broader effort to hold media organizations accountable for what the campaign views as deliberate misinformation.
Leavitt further suggested that The New York Times could be added to the lawsuit, given the paper’s public support for CBS’s reporting. “The New York Times has already stated that they agree with CBS, and Trump has said maybe we’re going to sue The New York Times as well,” she noted.
Criticism of Fox News Polling
While Leavitt’s ire was primarily directed at left-leaning outlets, she did not spare Fox News, a network often seen as sympathetic to Trump. She criticized a recent Fox News poll as “wildly biased against President Trump,” echoing concerns about polling methodology that she said consistently underrepresents Trump’s support.
“These are fake polls,” Leavitt asserted. “They over-poll Democrats, they under-poll President Trump’s supporters. It’s always been the case for media polls; they consistently underestimate President Trump’s support among the public. That’s why we don’t really blink when we see them. To be honest with you, we’re staying focused on the mission and moving forward.”
Leavitt, who identified herself as a statistician, argued that the polling methods used by major media outlets amount to misinformation as damaging as biased reporting. “If you look at the methodology, they’re over-polling Democrats, under-polling Republicans. It’s a clear-cut case of fake polling, no doubt.”
The Broader Implications
Leavitt’s comments reflect a growing sentiment among conservatives that the mainstream media cannot be trusted to report fairly on issues of national importance. She accused the press of not only failing to hold Biden accountable but also of actively participating in a cover-up to protect his presidency.
“The president has spoken quite strongly about it, and I know he’s made some phone calls to express his displeasure with it as well,” Leavitt concluded, indicating that the Trump campaign would continue to challenge what it sees as media malpractice both in the court of public opinion and, potentially, in a court of law.
As the 2024 election approaches, the battle over media credibility and accountability is likely to intensify, with both sides accusing the other of misinformation and manipulation. For now, Leavitt’s remarks serve as a rallying cry for Trump supporters who believe the mainstream press has lost its way—and a warning to journalists that the era of unchallenged media narratives may be coming to an end.
