Fox News personality Kat Timpf thanked her supporters for their encouragement after announcing on Tuesday that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer—and assured her fans that she is receiving the “best possible medical advice.”

On Friday, Timpf addressed those shocked by the double health news earlier in the week—including the birth of her first child and her stage 0 cancer diagnosis—via social media.

“Thank you so much for all the support. It means so much to me. Obviously, it’s a really insanely difficult time, and I really appreciate it,” Timpf said in a selfie video posted on X.

Timpf said she had received concerned advice from fans after they heard about her medical treatment plan.

The Fox host reported that many concerned viewers had reached out to her with questions after she announced on Tuesday that doctors had said her “best course of action would probably be a double mastectomy as soon as possible.”

“Believe me, there’s no one for whom [a double mastectomy] seems more extreme than for me,” Timpf explained in her Friday update.

“I don’t take cutting off my T-shirts lightly,” Timpf said, adding, “Generally, I don’t think any woman does. I found it devastating.”

Timpf said she had consulted with her team of medical professionals, who developed a treatment plan that works for her, and she is receiving the “best possible medical advice.”

“Every case of breast cancer is different. There are many details I haven’t disclosed,” she said. “Trust that I’m making the best decision for myself and my family.”

The “Gutfeld!” regular emphasized that the most important thing for her is to be able to take care of her family.
